5 Tips for Backpack Safety to Maintain a Healthy Back

Contributing to a healthy and successful school year…

1. Load heavy items closer to the body/back of pack
2. Disperse items throughout compartments within backpack to spread weight
3. Use both straps and tighten so pack is close to your body
4. Carry lunchbox separately
5. Keep weight of pack to 15-20% of child’s body weight
