What is Torticollis?

Torticollis is a shortening of neck muscles causing the head to tilt towards one shoulder and rotate to the opposite. It may seem your child “prefers” to look to one side and does not want to or is unable to look in the other direction. You also may note a tilt by looking through pictures of your little one. Their head seems positioned similarly in all of them.

There are various possible causes for Torticollis, but it is important to know that it is correctable! Early detection and treatment lead to successful resolution and shorter treatment times!
